Why Host An Event?
Karen’s son was diagnosed with a rare condition that will prevent him from walking steadily on his own. Her best friend, Michelle, noticed that Karen seemed exhausted at work and mentioned feeling alone with the sudden news of her son’s illness. Michelle knew that Karen needed help financing all of the new physical therapy and prescriptions that her son would need. So, she decided that she would do her part by raising money for Karen through hosting a bake-off at their church. Michelle combined the event’s earnings with the funding and resources at Skye Precious Kids and helped get Karen’s son one step closer to an increased quality of life.
