We understand how stressful caring for a child with a disease or disability can be. We are here to help reduce those stresses so you can focus on what matters most.
Please refer to our FAQ to understand what expenses we will cover. You will submit a grant request, and then our Medical Review Committee will review your application based on your unique circumstances.
We will reach out to you to schedule a home visit. Based on the compiled information and funding available, we will let you know if we can approve your request. Please note that grant funding is contingent on the generous donations from our supporters.
We do not provide funds directly to you but work with your service providers to pay them directly. We no longer pay for utilities but have resources to direct you to should you need assistance with those expenses.

Families in Georgia caring for a child with a life-threatening illness or disability may apply. Each family may apply once per calendar year. Applications are reviewed quarterly by our Medical Review Committee
We provide assistance through three key programs:
We no longer pay for utilities directly. However, we can connect families with community resources that do. In addition, we do not fund medical studies or expenses that do not directly improve a child’s quality of life.
Families may apply once per year. If you have received funding before, you are still welcome to reapply the following calendar year
Our programs are made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community partners. Grant funding is contingent on available resources each cycle

Applications are reviewed four times a year. Deadlines are:
After submission, our Medical Review Committee reviews requests during quarterly meetings. If approved, it may take several months for funding to be released, depending on available donations and provider coordination
Grant funds are never given directly to families. Instead, Skye Precious Kids pays service providers, vendors, or landlords directly to ensure funds are used as intended
If your request cannot be funded due to limited resources or because the expense falls outside of our programs, we will send you a formal letter by mail with our decision. Whenever possible, we will also connect you with partner organizations and community resources that may be able to help meet your family’s needs
Yes. We may assist with accessibility needs such as wheelchair ramps, bathroom modifications, stair lifts, van lifts, and similar home or vehicle adaptations. For vehicle-related requests, we do not cover the full cost of purchasing a vehicle, but we can help with down payments, conversions, or modifications. Please note that at least two vendor quotes are required for vehicle modifications.
We ask for household income documentation (tax return and proof of other support). While there are no strict income caps, funding decisions are based on both financial need and the child’s medical or educational necessity
By donating to Skye Precious Kids, you will be impacting and funding education and health resources for Georgia families, with documented economic hardship and not already receiving financial aid, caring for children with a terminal diagnosis. Financial aid is never given directly to individuals.
